School Leaver Pathways

At Ormiston Senior College we value "personalised learning opportunities that are flexible and authentic and meet each student’s aspirations and educational needs" and we aim to equip "students with the confidence and capability to pursue their preferred futures and lifelong learning". We continue to seek information about students who have left school so that we are able to meet our goals.

Of the 62% of Year 13 students attending university:

  • All students indicated that they are enrolled at their preferred university for 2014.
  • 92% of students indicated that they were offered a place in their 'first choice' tertiary course.
  • 5% of students were awarded some form of study scholarship.
Of the 77% of Year 13 students enrolled in further study:
  • 20% go on to an Engineering,Technological and Mathematical Sciences pathway.
  • 17% go on to Medical, Nutrition and Health Sciences pathway.
  • 17% go on to a Business, Commerce or Management pathway.
  • 13% go on to an Architecture or Design pathway

Student involvement in co-curricular challenges, such as CREST awards, competitions such as Robotics, and the Young Enterprise Scheme provide strong pathways links.

100% of Year 13 students who went on to Defence Force or Sports pathways were student leaders within the  Duke of Edinburgh award.
