Assistant Laboratory Technician

We currently have a Support Staff vacancy available for an Assistant Laboratory Technician.

The successful applicant will work with a highly collaborative team of Science educators and the Laboratory Manager to ensure that practical investigations run smoothly. Some independent work is also expected. A good working knowledge of the Senior Science Curriculum, Risk Assess, and Health and Safety in New Zealand school laboratories would be an advantage.

This position is permanent, part-time, term-time only, weekdays (except Thursday) with up to
20 hours per week and will be at Grade 1 of the pay rates for Science Technicians, as per the
current Support Staff in Schools’ Collective Agreement, depending on the expertise and
experience of the successful candidate.
