Teacher Aide

We are seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate Teacher Aide for 25 hours per week.
The successful applicant will be expected to use the core skills required at Grade B/C of
the NZ teacher aide work matrix. This includes supporting individual students and
groups of students with complex learning needs to ensure they have the best
educational outcomes. The role also requires working closely with the teacher aide
team and the teachers across different year levels from Years 11 - 13.

The successful candidate will:
● be a team player
● enjoy working with children and their whanau
● display initiative, empathy and a positive attitude
● be willing to participate in professional learning opportunities
● be computer literate
● display an ability to self-manage and problem-solve when needed.
● exhibit a good command of spoken and written English
● be a NZ citizen or have a valid NZ work visa
● be prepared to be police vetted as part of working in a school

This is a fixed-term role, 20th April until 4th December 2026 - term time only.
